JACKSONVILLE, FLA. —A program that makes chaplains available to employees in need of counseling is boosting morale and retention, according to officials at The Loop Pizza Grill, operator or franchisor of 30 restaurants based here.

Six Loop restaurants, including one franchised unit, participate in the nondenominational Chaplaincy Program. Chaplains are paid a stipend, but counseling is free to employees. —A program that makes chaplains available to employees in need of counseling is boosting morale and retention, according to officials at The Loop Pizza Grill, operator or franchisor of 30 restaurants based here.

Most of the chaplains are trained youth pastors, and some have a degree or license in counseling. They visit their chosen restaurant several times a week to provide faith-based, confidential support.
