Bojangles today announced the addition of a corporate catering channel. Customers can now place catering orders from participating restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for delivery or pickup. The company, which partnered with ezCater to launch the new channel, requires a $50 delivery minimum.

“Since Bojangles started in 1977, our brand has been synonymous with bringing people together over delicious, home-cooked food. That’s truly what ‘It’s Bo Time’ is all about,” Sergio Perez, Bojangles’ senior director of Omnichannel Initiatives, said in a statement. “We’re excited about the potential to bring our beloved breakfast biscuits and popular chicken to more and more businesses all across Bojangles country.”

This is Bojangles’ first venture into catering as a company, though select franchisees have previously offered the option. The company’s foray into catering comes as more businesses look for ways to incentivize workers’ return to the office, and as more operators look to diversify their revenue streams and grow their four-wall economics amid continuing inflationary pressures. According to Expert Market Research, the catering market in the U.S. reached nearly $73 billion in 2023 and is expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 6.2% through 2032. As such, several brands have sharpened their focus on the channel. Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, for instance, is adding catering, while Red Robin, Carrabba’s, El Pollo Loco, Noodles & Company, Chuy’s, Sweetgreen, and more are also pushing the gas on catering.
