Flatbread Company, a casual-dining pizza concept, has just expanded into the nation’s mid-section, opening its 16th restaurant in a converted Firestone Complete Auto Care tire and service station in Dallas.

The Hampton, N.H.-based concept, founded in 1998 in Amesbury, N.H., has 16 units in the Northeast as well as Hawaii and British Columbia in Canada as well as a three-unit sister brand, American Flatbread, with restaurants in Vermont. The menus feature mostly organic wood-fired pizzas and salads.
