COPPELL Texas Franchisor CiCi’s Enterprises Inc., based here, beginning this year will use Revention Inc. point-of-sale-system technology at company-owned CiCi’s Pizza restaurants and named that vendor the preferred POS provider for franchisees.

Of the 650 restaurants in the CiCi’s system, 20 are operated by the franchisor, with the remaining 630 franchised to others. A CiCi’s representative said Revention’s POS system will be used at all new company and franchised stores and retrofitted into existing corporate stores in the months ahead, beginning with locations in Dallas, Las Vegas and Orlando, Fla., in 2009.

CiCi’s vice president of operations Kyle Smith said that in searching for a new POS provider, “It quickly became very clear that the Revention team matched up well with CiCi’s.” He cited “a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a great product” as a strength of Houston-based Revention, which also provides support for integrated online ordering, e-learning modules and enterprise management tools.
