GOLDEN Colo. Boston Market said Thursday it named Fallon Minneapolis its advertising agency to help “reconnect with lapsed customers and attract a new generation” of patrons for the 550-unit chicken chain.

Fallon Minneapolis will handle Boston Market’s creative development, media strategy and media buying, said sources at the fast-casual chain, which is owned by Sun Capital Partners Inc. CCT Advertising of Denver previously did creative work for Boston Market, which said it is working to build same-store sales in 2009 and resume expansion in 2010 after seeing unit counts decline by about 13 percent since 2005.

“Our goal for the new year is to regain our top of mind awareness and relevance with the consumer,” said Judy Cantrell, chief brand officer for Boston Market. “We selected Fallon because they developed creative that showed a deep understanding of our brand and leveraged a positioning we believe can differentiate our brand.”

Fallon is a part of the Fallon Worldwide holding of Paris-based Publicis Groupe S.A. BMW, Holiday Inn Express and United Airlines are among its other clients.
