TOLEDO Ohio Dave Black, a one-time president of Domino’s Pizza, has been hired by Marco’s Franchising LLC to serve as executive vice president of its 150-unit Marco’s Pizza chain.
Black will be responsible for operations, training and other store-level activities, Marco’s said. The chain has outlets in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona.
Black was appointed president of Domino’s in 1989 by founder Tom Monaghan, and served until 1991. He left the delivery chain right before it was sold by Monaghan to Bain Capital, a Boston-based private-equity firm. Black subsequently became a Domino’s franchisee.
