SAN DIEGO Greg Hernandez has been named vice president of operations for the fast-casual Daphne’s Greek Café chain. Hernandez is the former executive vice president of operations for Hamlet Restaurant Group in Los Angeles, formerly known as the Hamburger Hamlet chain.

At Daphne’s, Hernandez will manage the 70-unit chain’s operations, marketing and food-and-beverage departments, reporting to chain president Steve Fricker, according to the San Diego-based operation.

Prior to working at Hamlet, Hernandez served for 13 years as vice president of operations at Ruby’s Diner, based in Newport Beach, Calif.

Lisa Jagger, formerly regional manager in charge of East Coast restaurants at Hamlet Restaurant Group, has been named vice president of operations there.
