DENVER LaMar's Donuts, the 28-unit doughnut chain based here, is expanding its seven-state presence with three new store locations, in Colorado and Missouri. New stores have opened in Denver and Fort Collins, Colo. and a third store opened in March in St. Louis, Mo.

The expansion is accompanied by three consecutive years of double-digit sales growth for LaMar's. In 2006, the chain's systemwide sales rose 10.5 percent to $11.5 million, even though the fresh donut market was down four percent, according to AIB International, a technology transfer center for bakers and food processors.
