DALLAS The 60-unit Red Mango signed a deal with The Grove Inc. to offer its frozen yogurt and other products at several airports beginning next month.

The deal will introduce Red Mango to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City's LaGuardia International Airport. Of the Grove’s five snack stores slated to serve Red Mango at the DFW airport, one in the D Terminal will be a co-branded unit, the company said.

Officials from both Red Mango and The Grove said the partnership would meet growing demand from travelers for more healthful options in airports.

“We will directly impact dining options that promote a healthy lifestyle for busy travelers,” said Dan Kim, president and chief executive of Red Mango.

In December, Red Mango introduced three new formats, including co-branded stores, kiosks and self-service stores, as it looks to grow in shopping centers and non-traditional locations.

The Grove, which has about 60 locations in airports around the nation, works with such other franchisors as Dunkin' Donuts, Subway, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Jamba Juice, Wendy’s, Famous Famiglia and Smoothie King.

Red Mango has units in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Minnesota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. The company recently opened its first self-serve store in College Station, Texas.
