Schnuck Markets, a family-owned supermarket retailer based in St. Louis with 111 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin, is seeing a renaissance with its prepared food operations, not just as it relates to its product selection, but in its procurement parameters and process.
“We are actively bringing forth innovation to provide our customers with a break from their own kitchens,” said Geoff Wexler, Schnucks’ vice president of deli and prepared foods. “We are expanding our product mix to incorporate more regional and hyperlocal restaurant partnerships. For Schnucks, it’s all about trying new things and staying close to our Midwest roots.”
