ATLANTA Ted’s Montana Grill said it has promoted Hugo Marin to vice president of operations, a new position for the company. Previously, Marin served as director of operations for the company’s eastern region.

In his new role, Marin, a 25-year operations veteran, will have oversight for the all of the company’s 57 restaurants nationwide.

Prior to joining Ted’s in 2007, Marin was vice president of operations for Al Copeland Investments, whose restaurant concepts include Copeland's, Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro and Amor de Brazil. He also has held management roles at The Cheesecake Factory and Romano's Macaroni Grill.

Ted's Montana Grill, based here, was co-founded by media mogul Ted Turner.
