ORLANDO Fla. Universal Orlando Resort this week revealed restaurant plans and other details about its new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, which is expected to open next spring.

Wizarding World will recreate the Hog’s Head and Three Broomsticks pubs from J.K. Rowling’s popular Harry Potter children’s book series and the ensuing blockbuster films. Hog’s Head and The Three Broomsticks “will feature traditional British fare and drinks, including butterbeer and pumpkin juice,” the resort said on its website.

The theme park also will feature a rendition of sweets shop Honeydukes, where park visitors can buy Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Bott's Every-Flavor Beans and other treats inspired by the books.

The 20-acre addition to Universal’s Islands of Adventure also will also include Hogwart’s, an Owlery and various other rides and attractions that officials said would allow visitors to “touch, taste and experience Harry’s world.”

Universal provided a sneak-peak video of the theme park at http://www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter/first_look_uo.html.

The park is being developed in collaboration with Rowling, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and production and art designers from the films.

“All of the action and adventures of Harry Potter’s world will come to life here at Universal Orland Resort,” said Tom Williams, chairman and chief executive of Universal Parks and Resorts.
