BRADENTON Fla. First Watch Restaurants Inc. based here, operator of 68 breakfast-brunch-and-lunch eateries, now offers guests complimentary wireless Internet access, or WiFi service, supported by vendor Wandering WiFi.

"By offering complimentary WiFi, we are enhancing the overall guest experience and encouraging more frequent visits to First Watch," the chain's chief marketing officer Chris Tomasso said.

According to First Watch sources, a survey commissioned by the Specialty Coffee Association of America found that 11 percent of the consumers contacted cited wireless Internet access as a favorable factor in choosing one cafe over another. They said the chain teamed up with Atlanta-based Wandering WiFi in an effort to provide a user-friendly Internet-access system without a complicated login process requiring credit card information.
