Modern loyalty programs are emerging in the restaurant industry as chains look for new ways to offer diners personalized experiences and unexpected perks through their branded app.
Now Grubhub wants a piece of the action.
The Chicago-based third party delivery operator, which has been criticized lately for alleged sneaky business practices that hurt restaurants, has launched its own “Perks loyalty program.
Perks aggregates meal deals and allows restaurants to connect their existing in-house loyalty programs directly onto the Grubhub marketplace, potentially expanding a chain’s ability to gain new members. Just Salad, Honeygrow, Hale & Hearty and Pokeworks are some restaurants already taking advantage of the new service.
