Saladworks has joined the growing number of brands turning to ghost kitchens to optimize off-premise sales.
The West Conshohocken, Pa.-based fast-casual chain has set up its first ghost kitchen operation inside a Kitchen United facility in Chicago. The facility allows the brand to enter the Chicago market without opening a brick and mortar restaurant.
“Congratulations to our Chicago ghost kitchen team! If you happen to live in the Chicago area, make sure you check us out on any of the third-party delivery sites to get the best “good for you” meal in the area,” CEO Kelly Roddy announced on his LinkedIn page this week.
A company representative told Nation’s Restaurant News that the brand is exploring more ghost kitchen options.
