The Wendy's Co. is offering "Mercury in Retrograde" mobile-ordering deals through May 14.The Wendy's Co.

The Wendy’s Co. is offering four weeks of digital-only deals to observe the astrological “Mercury in Retrograde” phenomenon through May 14, the company said this week.

Dublin, Ohio-based Wendy’s said the deals started Friday, the first day that the planet went into its retrograde motion, where it appears to go backward in orbit. The “Mercury in Retrograde” astrological phenomenon, which lasts through May 14, is blamed for disruptions such as flights being canceled and other daily woes.

From April 21 through May 14, Wendy’s is offering mobile-ordering deals, available only through smartphone app orders, that range from free fries to discounted premium sandwiches.

For those want to capitalize on the astrological event, Wendy’s will be offering:

  • A $1 premium sandwich with purchase Friday through Sunday, April 23.

  • A free Crispy Chicken Sandwich with purchase April 24 through April 30.

  • A free six-piece Crispy or Spicy Chicken Nuggets with purchase May 1 through May 7.

  • Free Hot & Crispy Fries with purchase May 8 through May 14.

The deals are available “no matter your zodiac sign,” a company spokesperson said.

Wendy's, founded in 1969, has about 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
