White Castle is opening reservations Friday for its one-night-a-year full-service Valentine’s Day “Love Castle” experience, the company said Thursday.

The Columbus, Ohio-based quick-service brand, known for its sliders, has offered the Valentine’s Day dinner since 1991. The reservations, which are provided on OpenTable.com, become available on Friday, the company said.

“Celebrating Valentine’s Day at White Castle has become a tradition for hopeful romantics and slider enthusiasts alike,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, in a statement. “We look forward to opening our doors once again to romance and fun and making this Valentine’s Day another one to savor.”

The Feb. 14 event is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time. Reservations will be accepted at more than 300 participating White Castle restaurants.

Participating restaurants transform their dining rooms into fine-dining establishments. Guests get hostess seating, tableside service and a festive décor.

The event returned in 2023 after taking two years away during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the 2020 event, more than 30,000 customers participated, the company said.

White Castle is also debuting its Love Clutch Collection. This limited-edition packaging, available Feb. 9 through Feb. 18, includes 10 cheesy sliders, 20 chicken rings and a sack of fries.
