Bertucci’s, the New England restaurant brand, plans to open a Bertucci’s Pronto offshoot this spring in the Boston Government Center, the company said Monday.

Bertucci’s, owned by Earl Enterprises, said the Pronto location will be designed to offer an expedited, take-out-friendly dining experience “without sacrificing the quality and taste Bertucci’s is known for,” the company said in a statement.

The company said Pronto will also offer local delivery, catering to the business community.

Bertucci’s Restaurants filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December 2020 for the second time in four years, citing pandemic and inflation-related fiscal challenges, according to the court documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Bertucci’s said the Pronto location will feature an array of Bertucci’s favorites, including signature brick oven pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and rolls.

“Reflecting the fast-paced lifestyle of its urban customers, Bertucci’s Pronto menu will also include breakfast pizzas and sandwiches for busy morning travelers and will remain open into the evening for the reverse commute,” the company said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to return to downtown Boston with a new concept in this historic location,” said owner Robert Earl. “The community has been so supportive of Bertucci’s. and we have been searching for the perfect spot in the city to launch our first Bertucci’s Pronto restaurant. This spot, on Tremont Street, is what we were looking for.”
