Chain debuts in Shanghai’s No1 Mall
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro Inc. has opened its first restaurant in China, in Shanghai’s No1 Mall on the city’s popular Nanjing Road shopping street.
The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based casual-dining chain said the 5,000-square-foot restaurant has 236 seats and serves many menu items that are popular in the States, such as lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef.
“We have been very successful in 23 other countries and are confident our unique Asian-inspired offerings will resonate with the sophisticated Chinese consumer,” said Michael Osanloo, P.F. Chang’s CEO, in a statement. “We’re honored to offer this unique experience to Shanghainese consumers and travelers to this amazing city.”
The restaurant opened on April 28.
P.F. Chang’s, founded in 1993, has more than 300 restaurants in 22 countries and territories.
