Chipotle's new campaign offers Rewards members free Smoked Brisket

Chipotle ties its Smoked Brisket promotion to fantasy football

The restaurant company will give away the item to 100 Rewards members who post a screenshot of their losing matchup

In 2022, nearly 30 million people in the United States played fantasy football, according to Statista Research. Chipotle is attempting to tap into that massive fan base with its new “Got Smoked? Get Smoked” campaign.

Running from Oct. 1-8, Chipotle Rewards members can tweet a screenshot of their losing fantasy matchup on X using the hashtags #SmokedLineup and #Sweepstakes. Submissions must be from the 2024-25 fantasy football season. From those, 100 users' matchup submissions will be chosen to receive free Smoked Brisket for the rest of the regular season.

“Football fans are some of the most passionate fans out there – especially when it comes to their fantasy teams. When results don’t go your way, the disappointment is real,” chief brand officer Chris Brandt said in a statement. “Our ‘Got Smoked? Get Smoked.’ initiative is here to help fantasy managers who lost big regroup and recover for a playoff push. When fans are down, we hope the glimmer of our savory Smoked Brisket will provide a hint of hope for the rest of the season.”

Chipotle’s Smoked Brisket returned to menus in early September after a three-year hiatus. Its initial launch drove both check size and transactions, and it has since become one of the most requested items at the chain.
