One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to eat more healthfully. What that means, exactly, depends on the individual. Some people think cutting carbs is the way to go. Some want to eat less meat. Others are trying to eat more protein, or to get more antioxidants, or to eat less overall.
Regardless of their approach, there are chain restaurants ready to fit their customers’ needs.
Biscuitville now gives guests the choice of having a skinnier biscuit by removing about a third of it from the middle. Flat Top Grill and Smashburger have new plant-based protein offerings. Garbanzo has new low-calorie items.
Just Salad has new wraps made with high-protein, low-carbohydrate “Hero Bread.”
Peet’s Coffee has a new line of drinks made with turmeric, which is a darling spice of the better-for-you crowd, as well as ginger and cinnamon.
Sweetgreen has a salad developed by a wellness coach, and Chipotle has a whole new line of “lifestyle bowls” named after popular diets.
Read on to see details about these and other resolution-oriented items introduced in January.
