New Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol wants to start off on the right foot with the company’s union. Starbucks Workers United penned a letter to the new head of the company the week that the collective bargaining process started up again.

Pizza Hut franchisee EYM Pizza is selling all of its stores after filing for bankruptcy in July. The franchisee is offloading all 127 of its stores in Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, as part of a financial restructuring process.

Chef José Andrés is opening a luxury hotel with a private, members-only club. The next project from the chef, restaurateur and humanitarian known for his all-are-welcome-at-the-table philosophy will be called The Bazaar House.

A U.S. District judge has ruled in favor of the big three delivery apps. Judge Analisa Torres ruled that New York City’s COVID-era rule requiring delivery apps to share customer data with restaurants is unconstitutional.
