Has Starbucks finally unlocked the key to boosting traffic and lifting afternoon sales? The coffee chain beat investor expectations for the third quarter ended June 30, with 3% global growth in traffic, and a 6% increase in same-store sales systemwide, as previously reported. Starbucks stock jumped 8% in the wake of the sizzling performance report.
