Don’t expect the so-called value wars of 2024 to end just because the calendar flipped over. Del Taco has added two burritos to its Del’s Real Deal$ menu. The nearly 600-unit chain is also launching Del’s Bundles, which are curated combinations of Del’s Real Deal$ items targeted toward individuals and small groups.

The Del’s Real Deal$ menu features nearly 10 of Del Taco’s most popular offerings, including the Mini Cheddar Quesadilla and the CrunchTada Tostada. The two new additions include the Bean, Rice and Cheese Burrito for $2.49, with slow-cooked beans made from scratch, cilantro lime rice, house-grated cheddar cheese, and zesty red sauce, wrapped in a warm, oversized flour tortilla, and the Chipotle Chicken Burrito for $2.99, with grilled, marinated chicken, slow-cooked beans made from scratch, cilantro lime rice, chipotle sauce and cool sour cream, wrapped in a warm, oversized flour tortilla and grilled.

Del Taco’s new Bundles include:

  • Del’s BIG Bundle: For $10, this Bundle includes a new Chipotle Chicken Burrito, a new Bean, Rice & Cheese Burrito, a Snack Taco, a Mini Cheddar Quesadilla, and an order of snack-sized chips and house-made guac.

  • Del’s BIGGER Bundle: For $15, this Bundle includes two Chipotle Chicken Burritos, two Mini Cheddar Quesadillas, two Snack Tacos, one order of 3 Layer Queso Nachos, and one order of snack-sized chips and house-made guac.

  • Del’s MEGA Bundle: For $20, the MEGA Bundle includes two Chipotle Chicken Burritos, two Snack Tacos, two orders of Mini Cinnamon Churros, one Bean, Rice & Cheese Burrito, one Mini Cheddar Quesadilla, one order of 3 Layer Queso Nachos, and one order of snack-sized chips and house-made guac.

“Del Taco has always been committed to delivering bold flavors and exceptional value and the addition of our two new burritos to our Del’s Real Deal$ menu and Del’s Bundles continue that tradition at an unbeatable price,” Del Taco president Tom Rose said in a statement.

Additionally, Del Taco is introducing a new line of Fruit Blueberry Poppers for a limited time. The trio of drinks includes Sprite, lemonade, and a creamy shake. The Dragon Fruit Blueberry Sprite Poppers include blueberry fruit flavored popping boba pearls mixed with real dragon fruit pieces and Sprite. The Dragon Fruit Blueberry Lemonade Poppers include blueberry fruit flavored popping boba pearls mixed with real dragon fruit pieces and Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade. The Dragon Fruit Blueberry Shake Poppers feature blueberry fruit flavored popping boba pearls mixed with real dragon fruit pieces served in a vanilla shake. They are available for a limited time only, with regular Poppers priced at $3.49 and large Poppers priced at $4.99.

These value and bundle introductions indicate the industry’s value environment continues following a dip in traffic in the first half of 2024, driven in large part by aggressive price hikes. McDonald’s, which launched its $5 Meal Deal in late June, is introducing a new McValue menu next week, for instance.
