Domino’s has promoted former senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Art D’Elia, to executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In his expanded role, D’Elia will now run all global marketing initiatives for the Anne Arbor, Mich.-based pizza delivery company, including all U.S. marketing and advertising, and will also work with the company’s franchises around the world.

“Art has been instrumental in building strong relationships with our U.S. franchisees,” chief operating officer Russell Weiner said. “His strategic and creative leadership have made us better as a company. Art is a highly respected leader at Domino’s, and we’re thrilled with his appointment as EVP and CMO. I am also excited for Art to have a greater opportunity to have a positive impact on our international business.”

D’Elia joined the Domino’s team in 2018 as a senior vice president, chief brand and innovation officer, leading Domino’s product development and innovation, as well as national TV advertising. In February, he was promoted to senior vice president, chief marketing officer, adding the company’s digital marketing efforts to his resume. Prior to working for Domino’s, D’Elia held various executive positions at Danone in the U.K., and marketing manager at PepsiCo before that.

The executive appointment comes just two weeks after Domino’s CFO Jeff Lawrence announced his retirement at the end of the year.

As of June 14, Domino’s has 17,173 stores globally.
