Taco Bell is ringing in the new year with a new variation of its popular Nacho Fries as well as a twist on its signature Baja Blast. The Steak Garlic Nacho Fries and Baja Dream Freezes will be available starting Jan. 16.

The fries are seasoned with Mexican spices and topped with marinated grilled steak, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and a new creamy garlic ranch sauce made with garlic and jalapeño peppers. They are available for $4.99.

The Baja Dream Freezes include the classic Baja Blast frozen slushy drink blended with vanilla crème. They are available in Baja Dream or Strawberry Baja Dream flavors and are inspired by dirty soda, according to the company. The freezes are available for $3.69 for a 16-ounce size and $3.89 for a 20-ounce size.

Nacho Fries were initially introduced in 2018 and quickly became the chain’s most successful product launch ever. The fries are now part of one in four orders at the chain and their success has inspired Taco Bell to introduce limited-time iterations like Loaded Truff Nacho Fries, Rattlesnake Fries, Reaper Ranch Fries, and Jalapeño Ranch Nacho Fries.

Meanwhile, Taco Bell’s signature Baja Blast was launched in partnership with Mtn Dew 21 years ago and has also featured several iterations, such as the Baja Blast Charged Berry and Mtn Dew Energy Baja Blast. In 2023, a Hard Baja Blast with alcohol was launched at select retailers. This latest iteration leverages a significant trend in dirty soda, which experienced a 609% increase in searches last year, according to Yelp’s Trend Tracker.
