J. Alexander’s LLC has promoted Mark A. Parkey to the vice president and chief financial officer position.

Parkey was promoted during the June 30-ended second quarter, the company said in a statement. Parkey had most recently served as vice president and controller at J. Alexander’s Corp.

Parkey replaces Gregory Lewis as chief financial officer at the Nashville, Tenn.-based company. Lewis retired earlier this year, said Thomas Lawrence, a spokesman for J. Alexander’s.

“We are extremely pleased to announce Mark’s promotion to his new senior management duties,” said J. Alexander’s chief executive and president Lonnie J. Stout II in a statement. “He has served with J. Alexander’s for more than 20 years and has contributed significantly to the success of our upscale restaurant concept.

“Mark has also been a valuable member of the senior management team participating in the transaction with Fidelity National Financial, which formed J. Alexander’s LLC in the first quarter of 2013,” he added.

Parkey has worked for J. Alexander’s since 1993, when he joined the company as director of finance. He took over the job as vice president and controller in 1999.

In July, J. Alexander’s LLC named J. Michael Moore as its first vice president and chief operating officer. Moore was also promoted from within the company, having most recently served as vice president, human resources and administration.

J. Alexander’s, which has 30 J. Alexander’s restaurants and 10 Stoney River Legendary Steaks locations, is majority-owned by Fidelity National Financial Inc., a title insurance and mortgage services company.

On October 29, Fidelity National Financial completed its acquisition of J. Alexander’s Corp. On February 25, Fidelity announced the formation J. Alexander’s LLC, a newly formed restaurant company that is composed of the J. Alexander’s and Stoney River concepts.
