Nation’s Restaurant News has expanded its award-winning editorial team with the hire of veteran editor and digital manager Carol Krol as its new executive editor.

Krol joins NRN at a time of digital dominance for the leading foodservice media brand, having hit a monthly milestone of one million page views in January and boasting consecutive years of double-digit growth in unique visitors and other metrics. Krol will manage the NRN editorial team, develop and execute content strategy, and maintain the highest quality standards for all NRN products, both in print and digital.

Previously, Krol was managing editor of custom content for CBS Interactive, a division of CBS Corp., where she collaborated with its technology partners to produce branded products such as video, webcasts and original research. Prior to CBS, she was editor-in-chief of Direct Marketing News, a Haymarket Media brand targeting marketing and technology executives.

“Carol brings to NRN exceptional experience leading digital media brands, with a sharp dual focus on the content team that builds those brands and the audience that uses those brands,” said Sarah Lockyer, editor in chief of Nation’s Restaurant News. “I am excited to welcome her to the NRN content team at a time of growth and continued dominance as the largest B2B foodservice media entity.”

Krol can be reached at [email protected].
