McDonald’s Corp. has honored A.J. Antunes & Co., based here, with three awards for 2012: Supplier of the Year, Innovation of the Year and Reliability of the Year.

A.J. Antunes has worked with McDonald’s since 1973, when the Oak Brook, Ill.-based quick-service chain debuted breakfast, which the equipment company aided by creating the steamer for serving hot and fresh Danish pastries. Since then, A.J. Antunes has developed a range of equipment for McDonald’s, including toasters, steamers, timers and water filtration systems.

The awards are presented each year by the restaurant company to its supplier partners.
