Owners of Afters Ice Cream, 7 Leaves partner on Hello Kitty Café in Las Vegas

The new Hello Kitty Café in Las Vegas operates in a large metal shipping container, shown here. It resembles the pop-up café that opened in 2016 at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Southern California. That pop-up container café eventually moved to a permanent location within the Irvine Spectrum Center mall. That café also has a hidden speakeasy bar.

The operators behind the Hello Kitty Café in Las Vegas are familiar Southern California restaurateurs. The owners of Afters Ice Cream and 7 Leaves have joined forces to operate the Las Vegas café.

The pop-up cafe will sell an assortment of desserts and baked goods including Hello Kitty cakes, cookies, croissants and ice cream. Afters Ice Cream, which is known for its whimsical ice cream flavors, is providing the ice cream at the Hello Kitty Café in Las Vegas.

The pop-up café will serve a variety of Hello Kitty-themed coffee, espresso drinks and doughnuts.

About a dozen tables with chairs surround the café, which is in a public outdoor dining space along the Las Vegas Strip. The space, dubbed The Park, sits between New York-New York and the Park MGM, formerly the Monte Carlo hotel and casino. Nearby restaurants include Shake Shack, Bruxie, Eataly and Roy Choi’s Best Friend.

The menu features a variety of lemonades, iced teas and milk teas. The cafe will also sell themed merchandise such as mugs, T-shirts, baseball caps, keychains and tote bags.
