Ruth’s Hospitality Group Inc., the Winter Park, Fla.-based parent of Mitchell’s Fish Market and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, reported net income of $7.8 million during the June 30-ended second quarter. Despite rising beef prices in the U.S., the company experienced a same-store sales increase of 4.6 percent at company-owned Ruth’s Chris restaurants.
 

NET INCOME

Result: $7.8 million, or 22 cents per share
% Increase: 33.2% (from $5.8 million, or 17 cents per share)

REVENUE

Result: $101.8 million
% Increase: 4.8% (from $97.1 million)

SAME-STORE SALES

% Increase at company-owned Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses: 4.6%

% Decrease at company-owned Mitchell’s Fish Markets: 1.4%
